| If You Want It By Tonie Silver The dish is only as good as the ingredients used. Same goes for skincare and perfume. Some of the coolest essential oils around can be had at Enfleurage. Owner Trygve Harris makes frequent recon missions to the Middle East for some of the nicest frankincense. One of the things I like about Enfleurage is that they get essential oils; one can call them and discuss the different aspects of a particular oil. Say you can’t decide between two different patchoulis, they can tell you which is sweeter, which is darker, which is smokier. I really appreciate that kind of knowledgeable assistance. Trgve has a love affair with frankincense. So much so that she distills her own. Enfleurage’s Omani Frankincense is light and slightly camphoracious, and a tad bit sweet. The Myrrh is to live for, resiny and smoky-sweet. Enfleurage has smoky Vetiver, and Sweet Vietnamese Patchouli~ who’da thunk it??? One of favorites is the Eucalyptus Radiata; soft and warm and devoid of any cat pee smell. Really beautiful, very versatile, and blends wonderfully. Enfleuarge’s Oud is all wet wood ship planks. The Oman Nedjei Frankincense Resin is nice and strong for burning on charcoal, but I also like it just fine as it is, unburned~ it smells sweet and herbaceous and just-cracked off the bush. I infused some in hempseed oil and it smells pretty stunning, I must say. Go and get it. www.enfleurage.com |
